The Voice Uk Kicks Off Jan 7, 2017, As The Show Makes Some Changes
There are emerging facts that the award-winning singing competition- The Voice UK 2017 will kick off January 7, 2017, for the sixth season.
ITV recently confirmed that The Voice UK will kick off on first Saturday of the year January 7, 2017, at 8 pm, with the first episode.
Following the movement of the show from BBC to ITV, some changes have been made, but the question is, what are the changes all about?
Well, one thing is sure, as soon as The Voice UK moves to ITV the format will automatically change.
Confirming this, Digital Spy reported that one of the judges Emma Willis revealed that there are going to be changes this season.
Willis according to the report said that at The Voice UK 2017, the filming for the blind auditions show, coaches will NOT turn around to see any acts they don’t push their button for. Which implies that if no one pushes that button, the act will just have to leave the stage without ever coming face to face with the coaches.
Also, from 2017 the winner of The Voice UK will cruise home with a life changing record contract with music giants Polydor Records.
Emma Willis is undoubtedly the ideal person to host the show having hosted it on the BBC. Expressing her happiness She noted: “The Voice UK is very close to my heart and I’m absolutely delighted to be back on the show. Roll on the blind auditions!”
Sadly, Emma’s co-host Marvin Humes will not return this year as confirmed by ITV.
Another change on The Voice UK 2017 is that the show will no longer just be for soloists and duos we should expect a space for trio which will offer so many people more opportunity to participate in the show.
Have you ever wondered how much it is costing ITV to take this show away from BBC? Well, guess no more. Reports have it that they paid whopping £12m per series on a three-seasons deal beginning from January 2017. You will agree with me that that wasn’t a token.
However, while BBC ONE were yet to renew their contract after airing The Voice UK for five series, ITV came into the picture and became the highest bidder that was how ITV bought the show- The Voice UK.
The Voice UK Coaches
As for the judges, Will.i.am is automatically in joining straight from the BBC One series.
While global music stars Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson as well as Gavin Rossdale will join will.i.am as coaches on The Voice UK.
