About The Dating Game ”The Bachelor”
The Bachelor is a dating game show that revolves around a single bachelor considered eligible, who starts with a pool of romantic interests from whom he is expected to select a wife.
As as the season continues, the bachelor is also expected to eliminate candidates with him making a proposal to his final selection.
What makes the dating show more interesting is that the participants travel to romantic and exotic locations for their adventures, and the conflicts in the series, both internal and external, that stem from the elimination-style format of the show.
However, the dating game series does not always follow its designed structure and those changes have succeeded in adding to the games intrigues. For instance, we have two well-known cases where the bachelor’s violated the rules of the game.
The first Bachelor to did so was BradWhy Angelina Jolie Wants To Divorce Brad Pitt. Read more ... ». Brad did not choose any of his final two women at the end of the game.
Also was Jason Mesnick, who in the After the Final Rose episode broke off his engagement but several months later he proposed offscreen to the first runner-up, and the two are now married.
We also had scenarios where:
•A candidate who was eliminated returns to the show to plead her case to the bachelor.
•A bachelor distributes more roses or fewer roses than planned.
•A bachelor eliminates a woman outside of the normal elimination process. For example, the bachelor may eliminate both women in a two-on-one date.

The Bachelor elimination process
During each Bachelor episode, the bachelor has a romantic interaction with the women after which he presents a rose to each woman he wishes to remain on the show.
For those who didn’t receive a rose, they are automatically eliminated from the show.
Interestingly, eliminations are based upon the bachelor’s personal feelings about each contestant, guided primarily by the impression made by each woman during dates or other events of the week.
Moreover, most roses are presented at a rose ceremony at the end of each episode, but roses can also be bestowed on dates.
