‘I Liked The Rape Scene In Game Of Thrones’- Strictly Come Dancing Judge Craig
Please help me ask the Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel whether he forgot where he was before making such comments?
How could he have said that when he knew millions were watching, and by virtue of being a judge in one of the most respected dancing competition, he should be a figure to be modeled after.
Now, founder of ‘Enough Abuse’ UK is calling for his imminent sack from the show after being in the television reality series since its inception in 2004.
See what happened, on Tuesday night December 6, 2016, Revel Horwood appeared on the More4 comedy panel show 8 out of 10 Cats where he was discussing the hit American fantasy drama series with other panelists.
Then, 44-year-old host Jimmy Carr, threw the question to Revel Horwood if he watched the TV series program Game of Thrones which has attracted millions of fans around the world and has also received criticism following its use of nudity and violence.
The dancer replied: ‘No, I persevered for the first series until the dragon came on and that’s when I switched off’. The strictly come dancing Judge Craig added, ‘I liked all the sex scenes and the rape and I liked the cleavers through the skulls and I liked all of that, but I got very bored in the end’
Immediately, Irish actress Aisling Bea, 32, who was on his team, cut in asking ‘ It got bored when they weren’t raping anyone? Am I the only one who heard that? What world are we living in? Oh Trump’s world, fine keep going.’
Revel’s controversial comments shocked both the audience and even his fellow panelists.
However, some people are not taking the comments lightly and one of such people is Marilyn Hawes, the founder of ‘Enough Abuse’ UK, who said the comment was absolutely disgusting and deeply disrespectful.
‘Rape is the most devastating and vile crime and I would have to question him as a person and his merit as a judge on the Strictly Come Dancing panel, which is a family show.
‘His comment would have enraged many women and men who have been raped. How could he say he liked that scene? I’m absolutely disgusted.
‘You cannot have people on a family show with that mindset. I think the BBC should get rid of him. It is so distressing for people who have been raped to hear that’.
I’m a huge fan of Strictly Come Dancing. It’s not a reflection on his ability as a judge or dancer, I enjoy watching him, however, it is going on in his mind, which is concerning.
‘When you are in such a high-profile position you cannot afford to make comments like this. He has done himself no favors by saying this. You cannot have someone glibly talking about rape like this, it’s jaw-droppingly awful.’ She retorted.
Moreover, the comments have continued to elicit negative responses from other viewers many of whom have been calling for the dismissal of the strictly come dancing judge Craig. What do you think, was Revel right to have made such comments?
What do you think, was Revel right to have made such comments? Was he simply exercising his freedom of speech?
Damn! How coul
