Miss India 2017 auditions continue this weekend with Kerla and Karnataka States auditions coming up on 25th and 26th March respectively.

Meanwhile, Femina Miss India is India’s biggest and oldest beauty pageant in the area.
The show is owned by the Time of India Group, and this year, it will conduct a nation-wide hunt in all the 30 states including the country capital, Delhi, which will be divided into two categories, State Auditions and State Crowning in Each Zone.

How the Contestants are selected

The top 3 contestants of every state will get a ticket to the state zonal crowning ceremony, which is to be held in Bengaluru (South Zone), Delhi (North Zone), Kolkata (East Zone) and Pune (West Zone). Each zone will be led by a celebrity mentor such as Parvathy Omanakuttan, Neha Dhupia, Dipannita Sharma and Waluscha De Sousa.
One winner from every state will get a chance to represent her state at the grand finale in Mumbai, which will be held in June and will broadcast on Colors TV. These contestants will be mentored by four celebrities.
The officials has made some changes in Femina Miss India 2017 to encourage more participation. The height criteria has been reduced to 5’5′ while the swimsuit round has been removed from the auditions.
The winner of the Femina Miss India 2017 stands a chance to take home prizes in cash which is in crore. The auditions will take place at Big Bazaar stores.

Miss India 2017 auditions eligibility Criteria

A contestant has to be in the age group of 18-25 (as of 31 Dec, 2017 ), should be of Indian nationality (have a valid Indian passport) or an OCI card holder (she can only win the runners-up titles). She should Single, Unmarried and Not Engaged.

North Zone – Neha Dhupia (Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi)
South Zone – Parvathy Omanakuttan (Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka)
West Zone – Waluscha De Sousa (Gujarat, Rajasthan, Goa and Maharashtra)
East Zone – Dipannita Sharma (Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal and Sikkim)
