AGT Season 12 Auditions Begins, Requirements, Tips for Austin, Others

The first open call for America’s Got Talent auditions (AGT Auditions) for the 12th season has kicked off.

The search for the next big stars of the on-going season 12 of “America’s Got Talent Auditions” is already making waves with throngs of Americans searching up for the next city to be visited.

Consequently, Adams Davis, the  Producer of the mega-hit talent competition has announced that the America’s Got Talent Auditions crew will be moving to AUSTIN for the second open call of the season.

Remember that America’s got talent reality television series seeks any age, any talent, and any dream!
The show is looking for fresh new talents  as such, whether you sing, dance on a wheelchair, perform magic, or have some other unique talent, they would love to see you come audition.

America’s got talent crew is inviting potential winners to the second open call for the upcoming “America’s Got Talent” Auditions for Season 12 at Austin.

Season 11 was the most-watched season in five years, and Simon Cowell just signed on to continue judging for the next three years.
Meanwhile, America’s got talent has thanked everyone who auditioned in Chicago on November 12, 2017.

Requirements And Tips

According to AGT, the Eligibility Requirements are thus:
1. The Act must be able to prove at the time of the Act’s registration and audition that:
All members of an Act must either (i) be a United States citizen; (ii)be a legal permanent resident of the United States; (iii) possess a current employment authorization card (EAD card) or have unrestricted employment authorization; or (iv) be in the United States legally at the time of the initial audition. All members of each act will be required to show proof of unrestricted employment authorization or have appropriate visa status in the United States that allows them to compete on the Program prior to live shows
2. Participants to an “Act” may include: 1) a participant who performs alone; or 2) multiple participants who perform together. Any participant in an Act that is under the age of eighteen (18) as of the date of submission must have his or her parent or legal guardian’s permission to participate in the Online Audition.

  • General Requirements
    (a) The Act may submit ONLY ONE (1) Audition Video.
    (b) Audition Videos should be submitted at the official site. Follow the onscreen prompts to upload the Act’s Audition Video. Audition Videos will NOT be accepted after 11:59 p.m. PT on the close of the Video Submission Period.
    (c) At least one participant in an Act (or the parent or legal guardian of a participant in the Act that is a minor in his or her state of residence) must have Internet access during the Video Submission Period, and sign up as the User on Online Audition Website. There is no charge to become a User on the site.
    (d) The Act’s Audition Video must be entered by a registered user of the Online Audition Website, who is at least eighteen (18) years old, and who has the authority to act on behalf of the other participants in the Act. If all the participants in an Act are minors in their state of residence, then the Act’s Audition Video must be entered by a parent or legal guardian of a participant in the Act who has the authority to act on behalf of the other participants in the Act.
    (e) The Act’s Audition Video must comply with the requirements of this Section B. Any Audition Video that, in Producer’s discretion, does not comply with the requirements of this Section B may be disqualified.
    (f) The Act’s Audition Video submission will not be complete until the Act have accepted these Terms and Conditions.
    (g) Producer reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, the eligibility of each Act’s

TIPS for AGT Auditions

For those looking forward to audition for different acts in the 2017 AGT auditions, here are pieces of advice.

Prepare your mind to perform an act that that would be watched by over 1,000 or more people.
To be on the safe side, it’s always good to try as much as you can  to have ideas of what you would perform for future rounds of the show if you are finally chosen to perform for the celebrity judges.

Moreover, you should expect questions such as ” what do you have in store for the future ” from  the Producers so it’s advisable to be prepared.

Tips for dancers in America’s Got Talent Auditions

Dear performer if you want to impress the judges at AGT Auditions try as much as possible to avoid mixture of different acts, it is safer to perform one or two songs for your audition.

Also, pay attention to your choreography. Infusing a lot of energy and presenting something unique laced with new moves and tricks will make you stand out from the crowd and this is what judges and producers are looking for.

As a big group, it is advisable to dress in your uniform because it tells much about your personality.
Dancers have been advised to go along with their downloaded  music on a CD or a smartphone/tablet or any other device that can be plugged in via an auxiliary cord and not the music streaming from the internet on their device.


For the singers, in AGT Auditions it is better you prepare a verse and chorus that doesn’t hide your best instead start with your strongest. It will be safe to also start with a well-known song instead of your own material.

It is important you choose any part of  a song that best  reveals your vocals. Have at the back of your mind that there are no microphones in the audition rooms and the producers are only a few feet away from you.

Another tip for singers is, they should prepare to sing acapella. America’s got talent Performers at the auditions are expected to have a cover song prepared in case they choose to sing an original as we well to go along with  a backing track.

Also remember that each audition is only 90 seconds, but the Producer can stop you at any time. But if a Producer asks to hear another song, it is good to be prepared.

For Simon Cowell, who is one of judges and creator of America’s Got Talent,” Be original, Don’t be boring, Stand out from the crowd,  Be fearless, dress to impress, Come with the outfit you want to wear on TV.

” It doesn’t hurt to wear something you’re comfortable in but will also let you stand out in the crowd” he advised.
